In developing our product formulas, Diptyque exceeds European regulatory standards – the strictest in the world – as part of our uncompromising approach to safety and quality.
Our formulation guidelines
In 2023, we raised our standards when we adopted a new set of formulation guidelines. These were drawn up with the help of leading experts and ban the use of certain ingredients for environmental, social or ethical reasons.
Our ranges of personal fragrances and cosmetics, candles, home fragrances and household products now comply with even stricter compositional specifications. They inform the design of every one of our new creations and help us improve existing products.
We seek to produce better formulas with fewer ingredients by simplifying them without compromising on olfactory or sensory performance. We choose raw materials sourced transparently and more responsibly to reduce our footprint. And we work closely with our suppliers to guarantee the origin and traceability of all raw materials of natural origin used in our formulas.

Diptyque has embraced an eco-responsible approach to develop products that combine sensory appeal with respect for the planet. The care lotion, multi-surface cleaner and dishwashing liquid are all Greenlife Ecocert-certified. The scented ceramic oval, meanwhile, is categorized as a natural-origin room fragrance with the Greenlife Ecocert stamp of approval. The Ecocert label champions sustainable practices across the entire product development chain.
