Story & Savoir-faire

For its bronze candle accessories, Diptyque has collaborated with Maison Intègre – a studio based in Burkina Faso since 2017. Specialising in recycled bronze furniture and objects, Maison Intègre keeps the ancestral lost-wax casting technique alive. Handmade by its fifteen or so local artisans, each piece combines natural materials with traditional skills and expertise. Having opened its own foundry, the studio is committed to authentic excellence.

Each bronze piece made in collaboration with Maison Intègre has been handcrafted by artisans using recycled metals. Variations, marks and imperfections in the finished texture are part of the traditional process Maison Intègre actively supports. The patina may change over time, making the piece even more unique.

Please note that water and other liquids will leave marks. If required, carefully clean the surface of the piece with a soft, clean and dry cloth in the direction of its finished texture. Do not use water, alcohol, chlorine, abrasive or aggressive detergents. If needed, you can polish the piece with a deoxidiser or an anti-tarnish cream for brass.
